What if You Found This In Your Easter Egg?

Mar 21, 2016 | 0 comments

Every year when the flowers start to bloom, when you lose an hour of sleep, and when the most cleaning products are sold on record, you know that Spring has finally come.

Most people celebrate Easter with bunnies, baskets, and egg hunts. But the true meaning of Easter is a celebration of Jesus Christ!

That means Easter is right around the corner.

What does Easter mean to you?

Is it all about bunnies, baskets, and egg hunts?

What if I told you there’s something more significant than anything you could put in a plastic egg for someone to find?

Something so amazing, so undeserving, so priceless that it would change your entire life for all eternity, and leave you completely satisfied?

Would you like to crack open this egg and see what’s waiting for you inside?

What’s in Your Easter Egg – Jesus or Jelly-Beans?

What if every single plastic egg you cracked open this Easter, had all these gifts inside of them instead of M&M’s and jelly beans?

  • Mercy
  • Forgiveness
  • Strength
  • Comfort
  • Hope
  • Peace
  • Salvation
  • and Everlasting Life?

A personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ would give you each and every gift above, plus so much more.

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” – 2 Peter 2:9

God is merciful.

He is good to us even though we don’t deserve it.

Every single one of us sins because until we get to heaven, we will not be perfect.

When you slip up and fall short of His standards, you are to confess that sin immediately to God.

The Bible says, if you confess your sins, God is faithful and just to forgive you of those sins and cleanse you from all unrighteous. (1 John 1:9)

Now that’s a good deal!
But it seems too good to be true, doesn’t it?

You give God your lust, greed, idolatry, lies, gluttony, to name a few, and He gives you grace, mercy, forgiveness, and salvation!

How is this even possible?

How can God make your blood stained hands white as snow…completely clean?

The only reason your sins can be forgiven and you can enter into heaven is Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made in your place at Calvary’s cross.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

God loves you so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to die on a cross for your sins and rise again from the dead only three days later.

Why is this significant?

Why celebrate Jesus Christ and what He did for you every Easter?

Because without the Gospel, you would never have fellowship with God.

You would never be forgiven of your sins.

And you would never get into heaven.

We celebrate Jesus Christ during Easter because He alone is the way to true fulfillment, eternal salvation, and a life well lived this side of heaven.

Is Every One of Us This Side of Heaven Still A Sinner?

Yes! Every single person is a sinner!

You’re either a saved sinner or you’re a unsaved sinner!

You’re either covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, or you’re not.

“All sin and fall short of the glory of God!” (Romans 3:23)

It’s not until you get to heaven that you’ll have a perfected state.

So stop being so hard on yourself and stop striving for perfection!

Yes, you are to “be holy as God is holy“, but also know that no one is sinless!

We all are in desperate need every second of every day of God’s unconditional love, and undeserved grace.

Jesus Christ died on a cross so we can have our sins forgiven.

It was the only way to break that curse of condemnation you were born into.

As a son or daughter of God, you have accesses to His throne of grace – anytime and anywhere.

Remember that God didn’t give you His laws to show you how capable of obeying them you are.

He rather gave you His list of unrealistic expectations to show you how dependent on Him you are!

By your strength, you could never uphold them because “with man it is impossible”. But not with God. “With God all things are possible!” (Matthew 19:26)

Only One Door Leads to Heaven – Will You Walk Through It?

“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” – John 19:30

You cannot do enough good works.

You cannot pay enough money.

You cannot get enough popular votes.

You cannot, by absolutely any other way, get to heaven other than a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.

It is already finished on Calvary’s cross!

Nothing more can be done!

Without God’s grace, there is no way you can be saved.

And without the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, there would be no life for you to live after the grave.

[bctt tweet=”You are saved by God’s grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ alone, period!”]

Plus nothing else!

You Mean to Tell Me Imperfection is A Good Thing?

The law was given to Moses thousands of years ago on Mt. Sanai to show you just how imperfect you are!

This is a good thing!

A prideful person lives by unrealistic expectations.

But a person truly humbly, acknowledges that apart from God almighty, they could do nothing.

Every single one of us is in dire need of God’s mercy and grace.

No matter who you are or what you’ve done, you too can be forgiven.

You too can reap the blessings of eternal salvation.

God loves you so much!

There is absolutely nothing you could do that when brought to God’s throne of grace, could not or would not be forgiven by Him!

It’s not about what you can or can’t do.

It’s about what Jesus Christ already did for you!

So this Easter, rejoice!

Be of good courage no matter what struggles or trials you’re going through.

Jesus Christ is RISEN!

And one day real soon, He’s going to come back for you!

You’re a redeemed child of God, and you’re on your way to heaven!

If you don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, today is the day for your salvation.

Make the choice right now to accept God’s free gift of salvation.

If you would like to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, pray this prayer and mean it in your heart.

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”

Happy Resurrection Day!

And welcome to the family of God!
