“Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise…He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises.” – Romans 4:20-21
When I was a little girl, I wanted to become an astronaut when I grew up.
I didn’t envision all the steps it would take to become one.
I just envisioned myself jumping around on the moon in a spacesuit.
Now as an adult, my dreams of sitting in a rocket ship, blasting off into outer space, has become nothing more than a childhood fantasy.
However, this concept of unlimited possibilities has not changed merely because my age has.
When we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ, He will accomplish so much more than we ever thought possible.
Because the possibilities indeed are endless with Him at work in and through our lives.
Similar to a little child, we are to have faith that our Father will provide everything we need.
And, take us to places beyond our wildest dreams.
God will surprise you.
God will amaze you.
God will completely blow you away.
So make sure that you always dream big!
Will God Really Come Through For You?
God is not a fairytale. He definitely isn’t comparable to a comic book superhero in spandex tights… But sometimes we’re guilty of comparing Him to one. Due to a lack of faith, we limit our un-limitable God. Instead of believing His promises, we expect Him to let us down. It’s so easy to walk by sight—making decisions and coming to conclusions based on circumstances and emotions… But God calls us to do just the opposite. God calls us to walk by faith, not by sight. As Christians, we are to trust in God completely, even when we can’t visually see the work being done circumstantially.Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1But faith is not something we can muster up ourselves, it’s rarely (if ever) our first response to a trying situation. God in His grace and mercy, actually gives us faith as a gift. Kind of like free samples at Costco—you simply have to partake of them! 😀 Faith is our hopeful expectation that what God says will happen, will happen. And what He says won’t happen, won’t. It comes from hearing God’s Word and believing His promises will be fulfilled. And, from trusting in God even when it doesn’t make any sense and you don’t understand.
What Moves You—Fear or Faith?
As Christians, we are to be moved solely by God’s Word. Not our fears, emotions, or personal opinions. There is God’s bright shining light at the end of your trial. So if you’re going through a storm right now—don’t give up. Don’t allow fear or unbelief paralyze you. Turn that fear into faith by trusting in God with all of your heart. (Proverbs 3:5-6) If He has brought you to it, He will get you through it! Not some things—ALL things! He promises to complete the good work He began in you. So regardless of what season you’re in right now— you do have hope. One day you will be in heaven, and all of your tears will be wiped away. Start looking past the rubbish in this world, the rubbish in your personal life… And you’ll see God still sitting on His heavenly throne—high and lifted up. 2 Chronicles 20:15 assures us, “The battle is not ours, but God’s.” And with God fighting your battles, you will go from victory to victory every single time.God Will Go Above And Beyond For You
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…” – Ephesians 3:20 You were not created to handle life all on your own. Take comfort in knowing that the God who created everything in the entire universe in only 6 days is mindful of you and what you’re going through. He loves you more than you could ever begin to imagine. God has a distinct purpose for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11) He will not leave you to fend for yourself. As you cry out to your Jesus, He will come to your rescue. He will reconfirm that He is still there, and has never left you. So when God says He will handle it, without a shadow of a doubt, He will. We no longer have to step on whoever is in our path to get the job. We no longer have to manipulate and control people to get our way. We no longer have to worry about absolutely anything! (Phil. 4:6-7) As mere human beings, we fall short time and time again. But as Christians, we no longer have to solely rely on our own resources, abilities, and bank accounts. We have the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, directing our steps. And, enabling us to do all that He wills us to do.Key Takeaway
