My fiance and I are going through serious trouble with his father, who we live with. He has been mentally abusive and has now been throwing me around for a year. He has put me in the mental hospital twice in the last month because I can't handle the trauma, but we are trapped. I tried to go to sober living to get out, but they said I have too much trauma. I tried to go to a DV shelter yesterday, and I can't go because they only take partner abuse, no single women. I will have to go to a homeless shelter just to get away from the abuse.
He has kept us from saving up for the wedding by controlling my fiance's money, so I have to help him out financially. We are now going to get married at city hall just to be able to maybe get me into a DV shelter and away from his father.
I called 911 twice for his abuse, but got arrested both times because my fiance got injured trying to break us apart, and his father told them I am a crazy homeless person who isn't on the lease, but I pay $500 rent
